House Call: Amina Mucciolo’s “Cloudland” 2 in Los Angeles, California

You’re gonna want to sit down for this next one, because Amina Mucciolo’s second edition of Cloudland is just as spectacular as its predecessor. After moving with her husband Salvatore and two precious pups (Worf and Princess Leia) from the brood’s previous loft into a 600 square foot apartment, Amina unleashed her creative brilliance on the colourless, concrete space, transforming it into a whimsical wonderland (complete with a twenty-foot long rainbow mural, giant flower wall, technicolour kitchen and crystal unicorn cave). The Internet went wild as its inner child rejoiced; Amina’s magical home was subsequently featured by Refinery29Cosmopolitan, Bustle, Teen Vogue, Mashable, Bored PandaThe Daily Mail, The Independent, The Sun and several others (not to mention George Takei’s Facebook page!), and her Instagram swelled to 200,000 followers. While Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb dissed the space on The Today Show, describing it as a “kindergarten classroom”, the California artist/designer was undeterred (Her response: “I’m obviously doing something right!”) I couldn’t agree more. Take a look to see this glorious home for yourself:

You can even take a virtual tour via Amina’s rapidly growing YouTube channel, The Tassel Fairy:

She’s also included room tours of her bedroom and kitchen, as well as a DIY tutorial on her famous flower wall:

Don’t forget to take the 360-tour on Joybird (Amina was the furniture brand’s May 2017 ambassador).

Thank you so much Amina for sharing your incredible creativity, talent and home with us! 💕

    Hi Rachel,

I nominated you for a Liebster Award.
You’ve been nominated for a blogging Liebster award! This award is given to new bloggers who have excellent content and a great message to share.

    See your nomination here:

If you’d like to accept the award and participate, here are the next steps:

    1. Write a post, thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog, telling a bit about it.

    2. Upload the image or award somewhere to that post or in your sidebar via widgets.

    3. Answer the questions you’ve been asked in my blog link above.

    4. Nominate 5-10 newish bloggers with under 1000 followers (this is just a rough estimate… anyone kind of new is fine), linking to their sites.

    5. Rewrite the five questions to ask your nominees whatever you’d like them to answer in their acceptance blog.

    6. Notify the owners of the blogs you’ve nominated so they can accept the award.

… You definitely don’t have to play along and make a post BUT it’s kind of fun to see who people nominate and how they answer the questions. It’s fun networking. CONGRATS!!!!

I love how she’s able to move from bold colour blocking to the unicorn-esq blended pastels! I’m not sure the whole house is for me- but I’d have that kitchen in a heart beat!
